Channels {a Poem}

The River, a road,
a byway to carry us,
passengers ferried along in life
by His current.
The water moves us, fills us to overflowing.
We are not so much boats,
But channels for Him
as He moves through us—
Cleansing, refreshing, drenching.
He, the continual source,
River of living water, never ending, always moving.
Uncorked, we are his vessels,
Poured out to others who travel The Road.
