For the Weekend…Tumbling

“By all means use sometimes to be alone.
Salute thyself:  see what they soul doth wear.
Dare to look in thy chest, for ’tis thine own:
And tumble up and down what thou find’st there.”

  1. What a beautiful poem — so much truth in so few words, and such an illustrative photo! It is easier for us to hear His still, small voice when we are alone with Him, allowing Him to smooth out the rough edges and polish us into His image.
    Love in Him,

  2. Beautiful. I'd never been to the outer banks until this summer, and I was shocked when I saw (at least the part we were on – near Kitty Hawk) the sand wasn't really sand, but beautiful tumbled, smooth, pebbles of all different sizes. I don't know if that's how it normally is, or what, but my kids and I kept scooping it up and we brought half of the shore with us back to Florida I think! : ) Your picture and quote made me think of that again!

  3. Oh the refining process of the Lord's work in my heart! may i always be a willing vessel to the “tumbling” that is needed… stopping by from still saturday… Blessings! beautiful post!
