Three more days of school.
It is nonstop season–parties, graduations,
showers, weddings.
Noisy celebration time and a ‘come out and play’ summer ahead. Fireworks and family on the horizon.
Mini trips to the beach, anniversaries and relatives visiting.
The words all say ‘busy’ to me and I’m wondering how I’ll ever find time for the quiet.
I’ve decided to continue to carve out my 30 minutes when I can, leaning towards being purposeful in my stopping to Sabbath.
It might not be for a whole day,
but it will be with my whole heart.
Learn to stop, look and listen, make time for quiet and still.
Make time for words to drop in, the Spirit to speak.
There is living water available each day.
I pray God, keep me thirsty.

“It might not be for a whole day, but it will be with my whole heart.” I love that! Our Heavenly Father knows how busy life can be, with responsibilities we can't always set aside for a whole day. But just like a loving earthly father would appreciate a one-on-one chat for a time, so does our Heavenly Father. “All or nothing” aren't the only choices for keeping Sabbath. Thank you, Jody! I so appreciate the food for thought and meditation you give me in each post.
