Grace and Spinach–Still Saturday

NOT spinach, but arugula, a close cousin
Thinking this week about Philippians
and God at work in me…..
it is all his grace.
Paul says (I Corinthians 15:10)
“By the grace of God
and his grace to me was
not without effect.
No, I worked harder than all of them–
yet not I but the grace of God that was with me.”

I couldn’t help thinking of Popeye and wanted to just post his picture, but had second thoughts–
so here it is, small-ish, nonetheless. hope it makes you smile–grace and spinach!

  1. Stopping back – We do have a lot in common. Nice to meet you. I thought I was the only one with the word Dwell for the year. God has been using it to teach me to abide in His presence. I have just started to memorize the Sermon on the Mount. I'm afraid to say that, because what if I don't keep going. I've been thinking on it and find it comes to me throughout the day. Glad to meet you.

  2. Have you read Holy Discontent by Bill Hybels. His second chapter is entitled “Popeye People.” These are the people who become so frustrated over something wrong in the world that they shout, “That's all I can stands, and I can't stands no more.” Then they do something about it with supernatural “spinach.”
