I heard on the radio this morning that winter is preparation to fully enjoy the glories of spring. I like that! Spring causes such euphoria as temperatures rise, birds sing, flowers bloom, etc. But we wouldn't enjoy it half as much if winter did not precede these delights. It's the contrast that brings out the full pleasure!
