Words & Music–Across the Kitchen Table VLog

It’s that time again–first Monday of the month–unedited, unscripted Sister Time for Soli Deo Gloria, whose tagline is

“Inspiring women just to keep it real.”

Here’s my 6 minutes’ worth of ‘real’, talking about what’s sitting in the pile of mail on my kitchen counter….precious words and precious music.

Here’s the link in case you’re interested in the Anne Graham Lotz ‘Awakening’ Conferences I mentioned here.

And to enjoy the writer/musician I mentioned, Fernando Ortega, here he is singing “Give Me Jesus” in a tribute to Ruth Bell Graham here

(Four minutes, get your tissues.)

  3. Nancy, I couldn't think of anything, really, to share..it was a crazy/busy Sunday so the idea of going through the mail over a cup of coffee seemed like a natural. Glad you agree 🙂

  4. Dionne–you're so sweet….one of these days I'm gonna do a video log of my quiet time on the deck so everyone can see and hear what I mean. Hummingbirds are amazing! You are in my thoughts, friend. May Jesus give you his tender heart and keep you close as you wait for a friend..
    bless you.

  6. I, too, enjoyed seeing and hearing you via the vlog. Sharing the mail was a great idea–exactly something a couple of good friends would do, hunched over the kitchen counter with mugs of coffee. 'Love Rocky's idea of creating her own birthday party!

  8. I died when you said the hummingbird scares you…I love hummingbirds, but yes they come out of know where and make me jump and then I smile.
I am so glad you have a close friend in Rocky. I love what she says in her letter! Oh, relationships are definitely a life source.

  10. Jody, I loved how you took us on a tour… the traveling vlog. 🙂

I hope you enjoy the Anne Graham Lotz conference. I actually just completed her 52 week study “Into the Word” last year — I blogged weekly about what I was learning from the study and would so enjoy getting to see her in person one day.

My good friend, Brenda, is a HUGE Fernando Ortega fan — “Give me Jesus” is her favorite song, and she passed along the CD to me for Christmas many moons ago.

I need to go looking for your 1st vlog now as I missed it.

Lovely meeting you via video this evening!

  13. Did you know I consider hummingbirds God's love notes to me? Think of that next time one comes to visit at your feeder 🙂

And, yes, I am sensing the profound need for faithful companions to keep me company along the way. Thanks for sharing your letter from your friend Rocky. Nice to *see* you again!

  14. Beautiful view! And what a great idea Rocky had to celebrate her 65th birthday. (And I love how you so casually mentioned that you are 60–you look wonderful!) I'm sure you'll enjoy Ann Graham Lotz and Fernando Ortega. Hope you'll tell us about it later. Off to listen to “Give Me Jesus” – thanks for sharing the link.

Enjoyed visiting with you across your kitchen table.
